Raimi, you tease! More hints about the villains in SPIDEY 3!!!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Early this morning we got an email from one Kas
at Agalaxia.com about something he read in a Brazilian newspaper, an
interview with Sam Raimi. Of course I was deep into my slumber at the time,
having been up posting 'till 5am. So, those early birds at Superhero Hype
got the same email from the same dude and being awake at ungodly hours of
the morning they got that sucker up first!
Kudos to them, but this is too funny to pass up posting here. Raimi loves
this. You can tell. He lets tiny, inconsequential detail out that just fuels
the fires already burning. He never answers any questions without
introducing bigger questions. Take his below statements for example:
Hi Harry,

this is Kas from brazilian website A Galáxia. How are you doing in this slow
news friday?

I just read an interview that the biggest brazilian newspaper, Estado de S.
Paulo, did last week with Sam Raimi. Here's what Luiz Carlos Merten (the
best brasilian movie critic in my opinion), who did the interview, said:

The interview is about to end and we still haven't talked about SPIDER-MAN
3. "We are working ahead of time in the digital post-production because this
movie will have even more visual effects than the other two", says Raimi. He
explains that this time one of the more complicated things is to combine the
make up effects and the costumes. "I want to create a completely new look
for the VILLAINS. The costumes they will wear will be sensational. You can
quote me on that".

You notice how his statement only fuels the fans who are 100% POSITIVE that
Venom will be the next villain, although it also fits Sandman (the one I'm
hearing is right)? The confirmation of multiple villains is interesting,
though. I'm gonna guess that Harry Osborne may fully turn to the dark side
in this one, if you catch my drift.
My guess is that Raimi will reveal the new villain at the San Diego
Comic-Con in July and until then we'll keep getting little teases like this
from the man! What do you folks think?

Are you Johnny Ray?

in my eye
You don't mess around with me
'less you feelin' dangerous.
Are you into my scene lay it on the line
Ya come and take a walk with me
if you're feelin' dangerous.

Venom should be the next villain. Since the next movie will likely
be as bad as or worse than Spiderman 2, I'd just as soon have an
already-lousy character fill the obligatory villain spot, rather than
dragging any more good ones through the mud.

my vote is for electro, who is the most underated villian in all the marvel
universe. Plus, the electricity whould look great on film.
